The Opportunity

This role offers a chance to join our established Payroll Team, responsible for processing the payroll for approximately 20,000 employees every fortnight, along with monthly payrolls for salaried staff.

What Will Your Responsibilities Be?

No two days are alike in this dynamic role. You might be running fortnightly or monthly payroll one day and resolving payroll queries and advancing payments to employees the next. You'll constantly learn new things and may even contribute to department projects, perhaps even those originating from your own ideas.

Your key duties will include:

  • Collaborating with the team to ensure all employees are paid accurately and on time.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting cross-functional teams as needed, within the department and across the broader organization.
  • Maintaining the integrity and security of all payroll data.
  • Contributing to the overall goals of the department.
  • Understanding and adhering to relevant internal and external SOX controls.
  • Implementing internal control procedures to safeguard the company's assets.
  • Assisting with year-end processing for multiple entities.
  • Providing support to other departments with ad-hoc requests.

Our Finance department has a broad scope and is highly regarded, giving us oversight of all business operations. Payroll plays a vital role at the heart of this.

Qualifications

We are transitioning to a new payroll system, Zellis. Experience with this system is highly desirable.

You will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. A commitment to accuracy and confidentiality is essential.
