Neos Recruitment Limited is collaborating with a prominent dealer in the Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) sector, seeking a skilled Service Operations Manager to enhance their team. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a qualified individual to become part of a reputable and established organization.

About the Role:
The ideal candidate will possess experience in the HGV sector or similar fields such as Automotive, Agricultural, Plant, Heavy Plant, or Quarrying industries. A strong understanding of the technical aspects of these vehicles, including common issues, components, and challenges, is essential.

Your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Ensuring compliance with workshop protocols for every task.
2. Receiving job requests from service reception, estimating job durations, and delegating tasks to technicians to optimize productivity and monitor job status.
3. Securing approval for any additional work needed, either through service reception or directly from clients.
4. Overseeing MOT procedures to guarantee exceptional workmanship and achieve a high first-time pass rate.
5. Ensuring complete sign-off on inspections, maintaining the legality and safety of customers' Operators licenses.
6. Identifying warranty items for each task, ensuring replaced components are properly labeled, completing necessary documentation, and forwarding it for further processing.

The Candidate:
The successful applicant will have:
- Experience in HGV, automotive, heavy plant, agricultural machinery, or static plant sectors.
- A background as a Service Operations Manager, Workshop Controller, Technical Service Controller, or HGV Engineer.
- A valid driving license.
