Imperial Recruitment Group is pleased to collaborate with a prominent manufacturing organization in North Yorkshire.

In light of their ongoing expansion, they are seeking to hire an Equipment Maintenance Specialist with an electrical focus on a full-time, permanent basis.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain close oversight of the production line to deliver engineering solutions and assist operationally as needed.
  • Monitor all machinery and auxiliary equipment during production, keeping detailed logs and records.
  • Ensure effective communication with fellow engineering team members and management to resolve any issues promptly.
  • Assist with machine start-ups, product size changes, cleaning processes, and machine operation as required.
  • Adhere to preventative maintenance and lubrication schedules, coordinating with management regarding spare parts needs.
  • Support installation projects and assist contractors while ensuring compliance with site standards.
  • Notify relevant management before commencing any intended work to obtain necessary permissions.
  • Secure any required permits prior to undertaking work tasks.
  • Perform necessary repairs and maintenance, ensuring the workspace is left clean and safe.
  • Ensure all safety guards are functioning correctly as part of compliance obligations.
  • Engage in performance reviews and discussions with team leaders to identify training and development opportunities.
  • Plan and prioritize workload to achieve personal objectives effectively.
  • Provide comprehensive handovers to the incoming shift, ensuring all critical information is communicated clearly.
  • Contribute ideas and efforts towards enhancing plant and equipment performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Adopt and uphold best practices learned through training initiatives.

Essential Skills / Experience:
The ideal candidate should possess experience in a manufacturing setting.
Completed an apprenticeship.
Electrical bias with relevant qualifications.
Familiarity with high-volume manufacturing equipment.
Strong communication skills.
Eagerness to acquire new skills.
