Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Behaviour Mentor Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As a Behaviour Mentor Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in fostering positive behaviour and creating a supportive atmosphere for students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted support to students to address challenging behaviour.
  • Implement and monitor individual behaviour support plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to address specific needs.
  • Foster positive relationships with students to encourage their social and emotional development.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide behaviour initiatives.
  • Provide feedback to teachers and parents on the progress of behaviour support plans.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar Teaching Assistant role is advantageous.
  • Empathy and a genuine passion for promoting positive behaviour in students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents.
  • Knowledge of relevant behaviour management strategies and interventions.
