Job Title: Health Improvement Practitioner Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health Improvement Practitioner Specialist to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in leading the development and implementation of health improvement programs for children and young people.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver health improvement programs for children and young people, focusing on drugs, alcohol, and risk-taking behaviors.
  • Work closely with schools, teachers, and other professionals to promote health and wellbeing among children and young people.
  • Conduct needs assessments, analyze data, and develop strategies to address health inequalities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement policies and guidelines related to health promotion and public health.
  • Provide training and education to professionals and the public on health promotion and public health topics.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification in a field related to health promotion, public health, or a related field.
  • Experience working with children and young people, schools, and other professionals in a health-related setting.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and develop strategies to address health inequalities.
  • Knowledge of health promotion and public health principles, policies, and guidelines.
