Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to oversee the daily operations of our nursery at St Edmund's School. The ideal candidate will have a passion for childcare, strong leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both children and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide a stimulating and safe environment for children both indoors and outdoors at all times.
- To manage the day-to-day activities of the setting, including planning, staffing, resources, and budgeting.
- To develop partnerships with parents and carers to increase involvement in their child's learning.
- To market the nursery to ensure it is full and to work with other professionals in the local area for the benefit of children, families, and the school.
- To ensure the nursery meets all relevant inspection requirements and to follow and understand school policies and procedures.
- To be the key worker for the children and to conduct nursery staff appraisals and supervision meetings.
- To keep parents informed about their child's progress, including written reports.
- To support children with special educational needs in partnership with parents and the SENCO.
Requirements
- Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), Early Years Professional Status (EYPS), or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery setting.
Working Arrangements
The successful candidate will be required to work full-time, on a permanent basis.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this role is £32,696.00 per year.

- Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
- Management: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification
- Driving Licence (preferred)
