Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to oversee the daily operations of our nursery at St Edmund's School. The ideal candidate will have a passion for childcare, strong leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both children and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  1. To provide a stimulating and safe environment for children both indoors and outdoors at all times.
  2. To manage the day-to-day activities of the setting, including planning, staffing, resources, and budgeting.
  3. To develop partnerships with parents and carers to increase involvement in their child's learning.
  4. To market the nursery to ensure it is full and to work with other professionals in the local area for the benefit of children, families, and the school.
  5. To ensure the nursery meets all relevant inspection requirements and to follow and understand school policies and procedures.
  6. To be the key worker for the children and to conduct nursery staff appraisals and supervision meetings.
  7. To keep parents informed about their child's progress, including written reports.
  8. To support children with special educational needs in partnership with parents and the SENCO.

Requirements

  1. Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), Early Years Professional Status (EYPS), or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  2. Previous experience working with children in a nursery setting.

Working Arrangements

The successful candidate will be required to work full-time, on a permanent basis.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £32,696.00 per year.

  • Nursery: 1 year (preferred)
  • Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
  • Management: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
