Role Overview

We are in search of a skilled professional to join our Finance Management Accounts team, specifically within the Revenue Reporting division located in Liverpool. This team is accountable for the recognition and reporting of Revenue related to Assets under Management. The successful candidate will adhere to established standards and protocols within the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, assess, report, and address any discrepancies in the reporting of Assets under Management (AUM) for the Group.
  • Extract revenue data from various source systems to compile, review, and record revenue entries.
  • Reconcile revenue entries with cash receipts, promptly addressing any discrepancies.
  • Update reconciliations for control frameworks and prepare files for auditors.
  • Assist in the compilation of Revenue and AUM data for regulatory submissions.
  • Develop an understanding of the operational systems utilized for fee collection and the services rendered, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Ensure all tasks are executed to a high standard, meeting deadlines, and report any anomalies to your line manager within agreed timelines.
  • Respond to inquiries via telephone and email in a timely and professional manner, prioritizing team needs.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of team tasks, identifying enhancements to foster efficient processes. Engage in and support any ad-hoc project-related activities as necessary.
  • Foster a culture of quality to minimize errors, ensuring high service levels are maintained. Complete all work with precision, escalating issues to the manager or relevant department as needed.
  • Provide support and cover for team members and the broader department as required.
  • Maintain and enhance knowledge and skills in line with industry, regulatory, and internal standards through regular professional development (CPD).
  • Operate in compliance with Group policies and procedural manuals.
  • Undertake any additional duties as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Professional accounting qualification.
  • Essential experience in a management accounts team.
  • Experience in a financial services environment is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with systems and operational processes is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being comfortable working independently.
  • Demonstrated capability to comprehend and summarize complex information succinctly and professionally.
  • Quick problem-solving abilities.
  • High levels of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective workload organization skills to meet tight deadlines.
