Senior Conveyancing Assistant Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Conveyancing Assistant to join our team in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. As a key member of our conveyancing team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our conveyancing solicitors and ensuring the smooth processing of conveyancing transactions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage incoming post and correspondence
  • Draft reports from precedents and templates
  • Respond to client and third-party enquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Process applications for mortgage funds and prepare completion statements
  • Deal with initial instructions and process client ID checks
  • Assist with post-completion matters, including SDLT returns and HMLRC requirements
Requirements:
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages and data entry skills
  • Experience of conveyancing processes and procedures
  • Team working and collaboration skills
Education and Experience:
  • 2 or more A levels or equivalent
  • Proven ability in numeracy and verbal and written communication
  • 5 GCSE or equivalent, including English Language and Mathematics
