Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Montu, a leading cannabis company. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the supply of Cannabis-Based Products for Medical Use (CBPM) in a specialist private pharmacy.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Receiving and Validating Prescriptions:** Receive and validate prescriptions ready for clinical checks, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • **Patient Information Processing:** Process patient information appropriately, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • **Supporting Daily Operations:** Support the Responsible Pharmacist and Technicians in the daily operations of the pharmacy, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • **First Point of Contact:** Be the first point of contact for any queries to the pharmacy, providing excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • **Record Keeping:** Maintain relevant records for the supply of CBPM, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • **Stock Management:** Maintain stock and security of any CBPM on site, adhering to strict protocols and procedures.
  • **Communication:** Maintain communication of prescriptions to the Department of Health to meet regulatory requirements, ensuring seamless coordination.
  • **Governance:** Support governance in the pharmacy to ensure safe and compliant operations, identifying and mitigating risks.

**Requirements:**

  • **UK Qualified Pharmacy Dispenser:** Hold a UK qualification in pharmacy dispensing, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • **Medical Cannabis Education:** Ideally, have undertaken a CPD-accredited medical cannabis educational program, with a willingness to continue professional development.
  • **Attention to Detail:** Possess high levels of attention to detail, with the ability to identify errors quickly and easily.
  • **Experience:** Have experience working in a pharmacy dispensary, either primary and/or secondary environment, with a strong understanding of workflow and operations.
  • **Communication Skills:** Demonstrate excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, patients, and other healthcare professionals.
  • **Professionalism:** Exhibit professionalism, ethics, and a commitment to providing excellent customer care.
  • **Computer Literacy:** Possess excellent computer literacy, with a good working knowledge of office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
