Job Summary:

Jenkins Marine Ltd is a family-owned and operated group of companies with over 35 years of experience in the marine industry. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Marine Engineer/Crew Member to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of our vessels and equipment, including line handling, basic engineering duties, and machinery maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with the Master and operational teams to ensure smooth vessel operations.
  • Refuel vessels and maintain operational and maintenance records.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve vessel operational goals.

Requirements:

  • Current valid STCW basic safety training courses, completed within the last 5 years.
  • Valid ENG1 seafarers' medical certificate with no restrictions.
  • AEC (MCA Approved Engine Course) / Engine room watch keeping certificate / Marine Engineering CoC.
  • Able Seafarer Deck Certificate (EDH), and/or RYA/MCA Powerboat Level 2 Certificate, or higher.
  • MEOL (Marine engine operator's licence) or SMEOL (senior marine engine operator's licence), or valid Able Seafarer Engine Certificate, STCW A-III/5.
  • Trained/experienced marine knuckle boom crane operator certification and/or trained/experienced slinger/signaller for lifting operations.
  • Clean UK driving licence.
  • Computer literate: able to use MS Office and other web applications to complete electronic aspects of company processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Able Seafarer Deck Cert or RYA/MCA Powerboat Level 2 Cert.
  • Marine/Senior Marine Engine Operators Licence.
  • STCW basic safety training, completed within the last 5 years.
  • ENG1 seafarers medical certificate with no restrictions.
  • AEC (MCA Approved Engine Course)/Marine Engineering CoC.
