Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Connectment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our commercial department, you will be responsible for the commercial management of contracts and the management of commercial resources to deliver profitable performance in line with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Commercial management of contracts up to 5m, including the resolution of contractual and commercial issues.
  • Commercial responsibility for the company's largest projects and provision of support to project managers on smaller projects.
  • Effective procurement, financial, and contractual management to ensure a profitable outcome for the business.
  • Review and negotiation of terms and conditions of contracts and subcontracts pre and post tender award.
  • Commercial input to prequalification and tender documents.
  • Provision of commercial and contractual support to the tendering and bidding process.
  • Management and governance of all aspects of multiple contracts in accordance with commercial procedures and KPIs.
  • Monitoring of the performance of works, ensuring all deadlines are met, and management of commercial disputes.
  • Leading contract commercial reviews.
  • Implementation of progress and cost management reviews, preparation, and presentation of contract-specific progress reports, and active participation in contract reviews and/or customer meetings.
  • Ensuring a proactive approach to positive cash flow at all times.
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management, ideally at degree level, and hold professional qualification such as RICS.
  • Experience in a senior level Commercial role, ideally in a similar or related industry, e.g., engineering, construction, or rail.
  • Experience of working within a contractor and/or project environment.
  • Fully driving license.
