Role Overview

As a Senior Community Support Worker at Elysium Healthcare, you will be an integral part of a dedicated team that provides assistance to individuals facing mental health challenges. This position serves as a transitional support service, bridging the gap between hospital care and independent living.

Your experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker, or Care Worker will be invaluable in empowering our service users to achieve a fulfilling and meaningful life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support service users with daily living activities, including cooking, cleaning, and personal care.
  • Contribute to the individual recovery journeys of service users.
  • Encourage independence and self-empowerment.
  • Develop and maintain care plans.
  • Document service user progress through electronic notes.
  • Facilitate in-house and community-based rehabilitation activities.
  • Administer medication as required.
  • Perform general administrative duties, including cleaning and stock management.

This role may involve independent working, medication administration, and participation in Care Programme Approaches (CPA), thus requiring prior knowledge and experience in these areas.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Support Worker.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Strong empathy and a compassionate demeanor.
  • Willingness to assist residents with personal hygiene tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills and a good sense of humor.
  • Able to manage challenging behaviors effectively.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
  • Reliable, flexible, and dedicated to hard work.
  • Must reside in the UK and possess the right to work full-time.

Work Environment:

You will be working in a supportive environment across four community houses, designed to facilitate a safe and structured reintegration into the community.
