About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Community Support Worker to join our team on a full-time temporary basis. As a key member of our support service, you will play a vital role in promoting independent living for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality support to clients, promoting their independence and well-being through flexible and person-centered approaches.
  • Monitor and analyze client support requirements, developing and implementing effective support plans to address their needs and aspirations.
  • Contribute to the review of support plans and risk assessments, ensuring timely communication with relevant parties and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with the Support Service Coordinator to identify clients ready for independence, providing guidance and support to help them prepare for this transition.
  • Promote positive role modeling behaviors, such as effective communication and social skills, to support clients in achieving their goals.
  • Assist in maintaining high-quality accommodation, ensuring efficient rent collection and effective void and housing management.
  • Comply with internal and external audit requirements, including quality standards and accreditation, to ensure the highest level of service delivery.
Requirements
  • Understanding of financial, HR, health and safety, and equality and diversity requirements.
  • Ability to use ICT appropriately and effectively.
  • Knowledge of policy and procedures related to safeguarding clients and other individuals at risk of abuse, health and safety, lone working procedures, and risk management.
  • Flexibility in approach to working hours, including some weekend and evening work.
  • Emotional resilience and ability to deal with stressful situations, lone working, and using initiative.
  • Ability to achieve realistic targets and deadlines.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills to work with a wide range of vulnerable clients.
  • Full UK driving license or access to a vehicle and ability to travel across the region as required.
