Job Title: Major Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Major Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse to join our high-performing Theatre Team at Trident Healthcare Solutions.

About the Role:

As a Major Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse, you will be responsible for preparing the operating theatre room for surgery, ensuring instrumentation, equipment, and supplies are in place for specific operative procedures. You will also be responsible for running a theatre list without supervision and supervising/mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare the operating theatre room for surgery, minimizing waste and ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Run a theatre list without supervision, prioritizing patient care and safety.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Assess patients' health and well-being, identifying potential issues and taking appropriate action.
  • Be responsible for patient care, setting up for cases, and assisting in the day-to-day running of theatres.
Requirements:

We are looking for a Scrub Nurse (RGN) with experience in major orthopaedic cases, who is NMC or HCPC registered. You should be proactive and enthusiastic, with excellent communication and organization skills.
