Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Haematology to join our team at the John Radcliffe Hospital. As a key member of our laboratory haematology department, you will be responsible for providing consultative haematology services and supporting the development of our diagnostic laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultative haematology services to patients and healthcare professionals
  • Support the development of our laboratory haematology service, including routine haematology, morphology, and liaison haematology services
  • Contribute to the supervision of registrars undertaking morphology and responding to GP email advice lines
  • Report and authorise blood films and bone marrow aspirates with other laboratory consultants
  • Contribute to laboratory aspects of registrar training in laboratory haematology
  • Provide routine laboratory support for training doctors on a rotational basis
  • Assist multidisciplinary teams in the care of in-patients at the John Radcliffe Hospital
