Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that all maintenance tasks are executed efficiently and safely within a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the creation, updating, and closure of maintenance tasks within the Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system.
- Ensure the availability of critical components for mandatory maintenance tasks.
- Perform general and semi-skilled maintenance duties as required.
- Assist with security system operations, including CCTV and alarm systems.
- Conduct monthly inspections and tests of fire safety equipment, including extinguishers, hydrants, and hoses.
- Execute quarterly RCD testing and regular checks on misting units.
- Carry out maintenance on fire doors and perform water risk assessment-related tasks such as flushing and temperature tests.
- Complete monthly and annual checks on emergency lighting systems and test smoke vents as necessary.
- Undertake any additional responsibilities relevant to the role.

Unique Aspects of the Role:
This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with fellow engineers on various maintenance projects while also allowing for independent work.

Qualifications:
We invite applications from individuals who possess:
- Experience in fire door and extinguisher maintenance.
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems and emergency lighting.
- Familiarity with RCD testing and water temperature assessments.
- Proficient IT skills.
- Ideally, candidates should hold qualifications in multiple maintenance disciplines, complemented by experience in general building upkeep.

Additional Information:
While experience in a custodial setting and basic health and safety knowledge is advantageous, it is not mandatory as we provide comprehensive training to support your development.
