Job Description

Job Title: Primary Education Support Specialist

Job Summary:

Ripple Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary Education Support Specialist to join our team of educators in the North East region. As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and social development of children in primary schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Teaching Team: Collaborate with teachers to facilitate the active participation of children in academic and social activities.
  • Provide High-Quality Care: Ensure the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual well-being of children.
  • Contribute to Raising Standards: Assist in raising standards of achievement for all pupils.
  • Implement Daily Routines: Plan and implement age-appropriate activities in conjunction with other staff.
  • Assist with Personal Care: Support children with personal and intimate care needs.
  • Evaluate Children's Development: Regularly assess children's development and maintain records as directed by the teacher.
  • Liaise with Parents/Carers: Communicate with parents/carers only when directed by the class teacher.
  • Uphold Safeguarding Requirements: Ensure children are supervised at all times and adhere to safeguarding procedures.
  • Provide a High-Quality Environment: Ensure the provision of a safe and stimulating environment to meet the needs of individual children.

Requirements:

  • Right to Work in the UK: Must have the right to work in the UK.
  • Minimum Essential Requirements:
    • Minimum of 2 references
    • Enhanced DBS clearance
  • Experience/Qualifications:
    • Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant / Level 6 Qualification - Degree
    • Experience working in a primary school
  • Work-Related Circumstances:
    • Ability to work flexibly
    • Participate in training
    • A commitment to ensuring a safe environment for children, a thorough knowledge and understanding of safeguarding procedures
