Job Summary

Kirklees Council is seeking an experienced social worker to fill the role of Practice Supervisor - Assessment and Intervention. This position is integral to the delivery of high-quality practice to achieve the best outcomes for children and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support a small team of social workers and family support workers in their work with children under a child in need or child protection plan.
  • Provide leadership and direction to staff to enable them to provide exceptional services to children, young people, and their families.
  • Share expertise and provide high-quality supervision to staff.
  • Chair multi-agency meetings and contribute to the development of high-quality social work assessment and planning.
  • Offer high challenge and high support to staff, promoting their professional development and well-being.

Requirements

  • A Social Work England (SWE) recognised Social Work Qualification and registration with SWE.
  • An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
  • Ability to work in a 'name blind' environment and adhere to Kirklees Council's equality and diversity policies.
