Key Responsibilities

  • Providing clear and expert guidance in accordance with our HR policies and procedures.
  • Managing a variety of cases, including performance and absence management, as well as disciplinary and grievance issues.
  • Acting as the primary advisor for case management while supporting the Head of HR.
  • Developing policies and procedures to ensure compliance and align with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Assisting line managers in enhancing their confidence and skills in addressing people-related challenges.
  • Collaborating with the training team to identify training needs, create development plans, and assess their effectiveness.
  • Contributing to the ongoing development of HR programs, including talent management, succession planning, employee retention, and compensation and benefits.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful applicant will possess extensive experience in a generalist HR role and will demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • Proven experience in coaching line managers on employment and performance issues within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of UK Employment Law, with hands-on experience managing complex cases.
  • Ability to handle multiple complex issues and prioritize projects effectively.
  • Experience in guiding first-line managers in assessment and problem-solving.
  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent qualification.
  • Significant experience in employment case management, providing support and coaching to line managers.
  • Experience in developing policies and processes within an employment context.
  • Some familiarity with entry-level business partnering to first-line managers.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and its application in a commercial setting.
  • Strong financial acumen, with proficiency in Excel and a data analytics approach.
