Role Summary
The ideal candidate will possess over 5 years of underwriting expertise, particularly in the commercial combined sector. This position is designed for individuals who may currently be focused on existing business but are eager to transition into a more developmental role.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively with key brokers to foster strong relationships that drive new business opportunities.
- Evaluate and underwrite new business proposals across our diverse product range, ensuring adherence to established service level agreements.
- Conduct broker visits and underwriting sessions to enhance brand visibility and establish valuable connections.
- Serve as a primary contact for key brokers, addressing their needs and inquiries.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with the Technical Underwriting Team and other essential stakeholders.
- Engage in regular communication with Business Development Managers and Regional Directors to strategize on broker relationships and business growth.
- Act as a referral point for fellow underwriters within the broader team.
- Work collaboratively with the underwriting team to ensure timely completion of tasks while maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Adhere to the Underwriting License and utilize the Underwriting Guide, collaborating with senior colleagues to ensure compliance.
- Proactively seek opportunities to enhance work processes and contribute to the overall objectives of the organization.
This position offers the flexibility of home-based work with occasional requirements for office visits as necessary.
