Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures to minimize risks and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor and assess safety, health, and environmental conditions, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Provide training and guidance to employees and contractors on safety, health, and environmental procedures, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Collaborate with management and employees to develop and implement strategies to reduce accidents, injuries, and illnesses, and to promote a positive safety culture within the organization.
- Investigate incidents and near-miss events, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies, industry associations, and other stakeholders to stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in safety, health, and environmental management.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the organization's sustainability and environmental policies, ensuring alignment with our values and goals.
- NEBOSH Construction or equivalent diploma.
- Experience in the construction industry, preferably in a safety advisor role.
- Member of a professional body, progressing to chartered status.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, contractors, and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address safety, health, and environmental risks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the needs of the organization.
