About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are looking for a flexible and rewarding role in education. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support to children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and/or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to children with SEND and/or SEMH needs in a primary or secondary school setting
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery
  • Support children with their academic and personal development
  • Work collaboratively with other support staff and teachers to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
  • Natural ability and understanding when working with young people, especially those with SEND
  • Passion for helping and supporting children develop confidence and achievement
  • Flexibility to work in a variety of school settings and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children, teachers, and other support staff
What We Offer

We offer a competitive rate of pay, starting at £84+ per day, and the opportunity to work in a variety of school settings across Sussex. As a supply Teaching Assistant, you will have the flexibility to choose when and how much you work, making it an ideal role for those who want to balance their work and personal life.
