About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CAMHS practitioner to join our team in Tameside and Glossop CAMHS. As a CAMHS practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health assessments and therapeutic interventions for adolescents and families using evidence-based interventions.

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide a comprehensive service to children and young people, including family therapy, CBT, interpersonal therapy, EMDR, play therapy, and psychotherapy. You will also have the opportunity to work in a true multi-agency way to help deliver a whole-system offer that communicates that all children and young people matter and that their emotional wellbeing and mental health needs are understood and supported with kindness, compassion, and high-quality and safe care.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide high-quality mental health assessments and therapeutic interventions for adolescents and families using evidence-based interventions.
  2. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide a comprehensive service to children and young people.
  3. Develop and maintain effective relationships with children, young people, and their families to ensure that their mental health needs are met.
  4. Contribute to the development and implementation of the CAMHS transformation agenda.
  5. Participate in training, supervision, and consultation to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Registered Nurse - Mental Health, Social Work, or OT Qualification or equivalent with regulatory body registration.
  2. Significant post-qualification experience in community mental health services.
  3. Knowledge of mental health issues in young people, relevant legislation, and national policies.
  4. Knowledge of therapeutic interventions with young people.
