Position Overview

Title: Supply Chain Operations Manager (Ecommerce / Direct-to-Consumer)

Compensation: £60,000 + Performance Bonus & Additional Benefits

Work Environment: London (On-Site, Full-Time)

Pod Talent is excited to collaborate with a rapidly expanding retail organization seeking a proactive and strategic Supply Chain Operations Manager to become a vital part of their team on a permanent basis. This role presents a distinctive chance to lead and innovate within a progressive company, enhancing and refining their supply chain processes through advanced Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) logistics methodologies.

Key Responsibilities of the Supply Chain Operations Manager:

  • Strategic Direction: Develop and execute a cutting-edge D2C logistics framework, emphasizing operational excellence.
  • Third-Party Logistics Management: Oversee third-party logistics (3PL) D2C operations, ensuring effective order fulfillment, stringent quality assurance, and adherence to all regulatory standards.
  • Courier Relations: Cultivate and sustain partnerships with courier services, track performance metrics, and continuously enhance shipping and return workflows.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and guide a dedicated logistics customer service team to guarantee a smooth and outstanding customer journey.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with internal teams to manage international import/export compliance and contribute to sustainability efforts.

Essential Qualifications for the Supply Chain Operations Manager Role:

  • Comprehensive Logistics Knowledge: A minimum of 5 years of logistics experience, particularly in D2C/ecommerce sectors. Experience in the fast-paced fashion retail industry is highly advantageous, although expertise in other retail domains is also appreciated.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong command of relevant software, including MS Office, Retail Management Systems, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools. Familiarity with Brightpearl, SAP, or Hubspot is beneficial.
  • 3PL and Courier Oversight: Proven experience in managing 3PL logistics operations, courier partnerships, and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated capability to build, nurture, and lead high-performing teams.
