About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Site Manager to join our team at Vistry North West Midlands, based in Nuneaton, North Warwickshire. As a key member of our site management team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Project Manager and Site Manager in the day-to-day control of the site, management and delivery of project works, and the day-to-day management and delivery of a larger-scale housing project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Project Manager and Site Manager in the day-to-day control of the site, management and delivery of project works, and the day-to-day management and delivery of a larger-scale housing project.
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of sub-contractors, including monitoring of contractor attendance and progress, and provide direct instruction and support as necessary to ensure contractual arrangements are achieved.
  • Ensure the successful completion of the overall project, leading by example in all aspects of the role, and managing the day-to-day delivery of construction projects, quality, time, procurement, and contractors.
  • Manage site cleanliness and presentation, and maintain all daily, weekly, and monthly site paperwork to ensure audit compliance.
  • Work closely with the project Surveyor to appreciate the commercial implications and drivers within the construction process and incorporate these into decision-making.
  • Liaise with the Contract Manager to ensure they are fully aware of project progress and notified of all financial, specification, and time risks, ensuring all additional work is identified.
Requirements
  • SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid, and Scaffold inspection qualification.
  • Ability to work on any project secured by the business within a reasonable locality.
  • Self-sufficient, works independently, and can deliver projects with some support from visiting Contracts Manager.
  • Hands-on, boots-on-site, and interacting with trades and their supervision.
