About the Role

We are seeking dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistants to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Maidstone and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH), or behavioural difficulties.
  • Provide 1:1 support and classroom-based assistance to help students reach their full potential.
  • Work closely with students who may have challenging behaviour or be from vulnerable backgrounds.
Requirements
  • Experience supporting young people with SEND, challenging behaviour, or those from vulnerable backgrounds.
  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to manage and support challenging behaviours effectively.
  • Ideal candidates will have experience or training in Makaton, PECS, or Team Teach.
  • Proactive, flexible, and a strong team player.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS (on the update service).
