We are in search of a skilled Senior Technical Product Manager who possesses a solid technical foundation coupled with a strong commercial and customer-oriented mindset.

The ideal candidate for the Senior Technical Product Manager role will have the ability to comprehend business technology and convert it into engaging, customer-centric commercial offerings. This position demands exceptional communication skills to effectively convey product features both within the organization and to external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Technical Product Manager:

  • Act as the Technical Product Advocate for all offerings and services. Collaborate with sales teams across the organization and engage with key clients globally.
  • Serve as the technical authority for all products, services, and associated manufacturers and satellite operators.
  • Ensure that sales teams and other departments are well-informed about current and upcoming services and market propositions.
  • Create or adapt technical documentation into customer-focused materials, including proposals, white papers, brochures, application notes, user manuals, technical service updates, and press release contributions.
  • Assist in defining the market entry strategy. Support the Head of Product and Marketing along with the Commercial Product Manager in understanding technical product positioning, key advantages, and target demographics.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications Manager and Marketing Executives to maintain current marketing and sales materials, user manuals, FAQs, and sales fact sheets.
  • Develop product marketing strategies and value-added services to establish the organization as a leading provider in targeted markets.
  • Support the product marketing launch of new offerings, including marketing literature, sales presentations, FAQs, user manuals, internal process documents, terms and conditions, and sales fact sheets.
  • Conduct market analysis to define requirements for existing and future products, supported by interactions with customers and non-customers.
  • Facilitate the introduction of new products or services across the organization by collaborating with engineering, marketing, logistics, and support teams on market needs and positioning.
  • Provide technical product insights to Systems Engineering teams to successfully launch new products and services internally, during client meetings, demonstrations, events, and throughout the organization.
  • Gather requirements for both internal and external software development initiatives.
  • Oversee in-house projects to ensure timely and successful execution.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and comparisons, generating materials for both internal and external use.
  • Manage hardware suppliers for technology products, assessing new product capabilities and integrating these with existing products and infrastructure.

Key Skills and Experience Required for the Senior Technical Product Manager:

Essential –

  • Demonstrated experience in Technical Product Management.
  • Strong knowledge of IP networking.
  • Background in mobile satellite communications, telecommunications, or technology industries.
  • Experience in managing hardware suppliers and assessing product capabilities.
  • Skilled in requirements gathering and application.

Desirable -

  • Familiarity with contemporary digital satellite communications and IT systems.
  • Understanding of VSAT networks and infrastructure.
  • Experience with operating systems such as Linux and Windows.
