Job Summary:
The Automation Engineer will play a key role in supporting the development and implementation of automated machinery solutions for our client, a leading manufacturer of robotic machinery. The successful candidate will have excellent PLC programming skills and a strong understanding of robotic machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement PLC programming solutions for robotic machinery
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement automated machinery solutions
- Provide technical support and training to customers and field engineers
- Contribute to the development of new software controls and upgrades to existing control systems
- Participate in project work and contribute to the growth and success of the company
Requirements:
- Excellent PLC programming skills and a strong understanding of robotic machinery
- Good knowledge and understanding of automated packaging and robotic machinery
- At least two years of experience in a similar role
- Recognised electrical engineering qualification
- Ability to travel throughout the UK and stay away from home on a frequent basis
