Job Title: Area Sales Manager - Plumbing and Heating

Industry Sector: Water Treatment, Water Softeners, Heating System Chemical Treatment, Scale Prevention, Independent and National Plumbing and Heating Merchants, Plumbing Contractors and Installers

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to join our team at Mitchell Maguire, a specialist Construction Field Sales Recruitment Consultancy. As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for promoting water treatment solutions to independent and national plumbing and heating merchants and builders merchants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Field sales position, selling water treatment, water softeners, heating system chemical treatments, and scale prevention
  • Promoting water treatment solutions to independent and national plumbing and heating merchants and builders merchants
  • Account managing circa 200 national plumbing and builders merchants and circa 300 independent plumbing and heating merchants
  • Stimulating demand for our clients' products with plumbing contractors, site visits, etc.
  • Targeted on growing the independent plumbing and builders merchants revenue from £50,000 to £150,000 in the first year, and total revenue from circa £150,000-£200,000 to £250,000-£300,000

Requirements:

  • Proven field sales track record within the plumbing and heating sector
  • Ideally experience of selling to plumbing and heating merchants
  • Will consider someone working for a plumbing and heating merchant, looking for a first field sales role
  • Previous experience stimulating demand with plumbing contractors and end users is not essential
  • Preferably sold lightside building products; plumbing, heating, HVAC products such as boilers or sanitary ware
  • Fire in the belly, not someone looking for a milk round
  • Strong in prospecting, closing, and growing business accounts
  • Can-do attitude
