About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Specialist to join our team at EDF. As a key member of our business support department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees and the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of effective risk management processes to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a positive safety and quality culture and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and report on industrial safety and quality performance, identifying areas for improvement and recommending corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain an audit and compliance evaluation program to ensure adherence to company and regulatory requirements.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on health, safety, and environmental matters to line management and departments across the organization.
- Support the investigation of incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of employees in health, safety, and environmental matters.
- Represent EDF at industry forums and conferences to promote best practices and share knowledge.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry partners, to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum HNC level qualification in a relevant field, such as health, safety, and environmental management.
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Knowledge of company integrated management systems and associated standards, specifications, and guidelines.
