Key Responsibilities:

General Management:
- Ensure each location maintains an active and ongoing improvement strategy.
- Lead and support branch teams in executing their initiatives promptly.
- The improvement strategy should encompass sales, profit margins, pricing, operations, inventory management, and safety protocols.

- Facilitate regular discussions with branches regarding actions and exceptions identified through operational control measures, such as:
- Price Compliance and Achievement
- Credit Management
- Inventory Actions
- Customer Data Management

- Provide operational support across various locations as needed.
- Ensure daily banking procedures are followed and that all cash is secured at the end of each business day.

Team Development:
- Onboard new branch managers and oversee their training progress.
- Assist in the training of product knowledge and sales methodologies.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of product offerings.
- Mentor and develop team members to enhance customer engagement and deliver outstanding service.
- Establish performance benchmarks for branch teams and track their progress.

Sales Management:
- Ensure that sales initiatives at each branch are effectively implemented, including:
- Follow-up on inquiries and quotes
- Re-engagement with lapsed accounts
- New account openings
- Outbound prospecting efforts

- Collaborate with sales teams to identify new business opportunities and address ongoing customer issues.
- Work closely with branches to uncover cross-selling and upselling opportunities, as well as areas for margin enhancement.
- Support team members in adopting new sales techniques to boost revenue and profitability.
- Monitor gross profit and pricing strategies, driving improvements where necessary.
- Ensure that the showroom areas are maintained to the highest standards and that all promotional materials are current.

Operational Oversight:
- Supervise master data management to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor inventory levels across branches to maintain availability while avoiding excess stock.
- Oversee regional supplier orders for distribution to branches.
- Manage logistics and delivery operations across the region, optimizing workload balance.

Compliance Assurance:
- Ensure adherence to all standard operating procedures.
- Uphold HR policies and procedures, including absence management and disciplinary actions.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and documentation.
- Monitor performance indicators.

Qualifications:
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Self-driven with a solid understanding of customer service principles.
- Proficient in using company sales platforms and IT systems.
- Demonstrated career progression within the trade merchanting sector, leading teams to achieve high performance.
- Sales experience in the building materials industry, with a proven track record of acquiring and retaining clients.
