We are seeking a skilled Commercial Account Handler to join our client's dynamic team at Lawes Consulting Group. As a Commercial Account Handler, you will be responsible for managing and servicing a portfolio of commercial clients, providing them with exceptional support and guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients, understanding their unique insurance needs and providing appropriate solutions.
- Account Servicing: Handle the day-to-day servicing of client accounts, including policy issuance, endorsements, and renewals.
- Proposal Development: Collaborate with the account executive to prepare and present client proposals and insurance programs.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, insurance products, and regulations to provide informed advice to clients.
- Negotiation and Documentation: Assist in the negotiation of terms and conditions with insurance carriers to obtain the best coverage for clients and ensure accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions and transactions in the agency management system.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience in commercial account handling and operations within an insurance brokerage or agency.
- Education: Minimum 5 GCSE, Grades A-C including English and Maths.
- Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, coverages, and underwriting processes, excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively within a team, detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management abilities, proficiency in agency management software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Certifications: Relevant insurance certifications such as Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLCS) or Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) are a plus.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Client Communication: Communicate with clients to understand their insurance needs and provide expert advice.
- Policy Administration: Process client requests for policy changes, endorsements, and certificates of insurance.
- Proposal Development: Collaborate with account executives to prepare comprehensive insurance proposals.
- Carrier Liaison: Liaise with insurance carriers to obtain quotes and negotiate terms on behalf of clients.
- Client Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in the agency management system.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes to better serve clients.
