East Lothian Council is in search of a Senior Project Officer to spearhead various components of our digital transformation initiative and provide support for the corporate asset evaluation program. Key responsibilities include enhancing our booking and leasing processes, launching a new reservation system, refining our pricing strategy, and assisting with tasks related to the corporate asset assessment.

The successful candidate will take a pivotal role in executing several aspects of our digital transformation agenda, which encompasses:

  • Streamlining and integrating our booking and leasing procedures across corporate and educational facilities, focusing on user self-service capabilities.
  • Deploying a new reservation system that aligns with the aforementioned goals, collaborating with essential stakeholders throughout the council and central teams, including IT and the Improvement Team.
  • Evaluating and formulating a clear, fair, and simplified pricing model to enhance cost recovery and facilitate automation.

This role necessitates the capacity to operate independently, collaborate within a team, and lead discussions with various key stakeholders across the organization at all levels.

Remote Work Consideration
Requests for remote or hybrid working arrangements will be evaluated for this position, subject to a trial period and in line with East Lothian Council's Home Working and Worksmart Policies. Options for remote or hybrid work can be discussed with candidates during the interview process. All applicants must reside in the UK and may be required to attend Council offices periodically.

Job Responsibilities

While there is no direct line management responsibility, the role includes leading a Project Team or Teams composed of a small number of staff assigned on a full-time or part-time basis to accomplish specific projects.
