We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of our Build Environment project in the field of fusion energy. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in characterising and preparing the site for major construction and submitting the DCO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement detailed project plans, schedules, and timelines.
- Coordinate project activities, ensuring alignment with STEP objectives and timelines.
- Ensure the preparation and maintenance of project documentation and records.
- Administer NEC4 contracts in accordance with agreed terms and conditions.
- Monitor compliance with contractual obligations by all parties involved.
- Maintain accurate records of all contract-related documentation, communications, and transactions.
- Ensure excellent HSE performance on all projects.
- Resolve obstacles to project delivery and lead the identification and employment of creative solutions.
- Report progress against milestones, changes, exceptions, budgets, and other key performance indicators.
- Effectively manage project risk and change.
Requirements:
- Significant experience in senior project management roles within the energy sector or a related field.
- Ability to understand complex engineering concepts and effectively communicate project goals, expectations, and updates to technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven track record of leading and delivering large-scale, complex projects.
- Strong strategic planning and execution skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Advanced financial and resource management skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills, with experience in mentoring and developing team members.
Desirable Requirements:
- Prior experience with Sensat or similar digital platforms.
- Background in engineering, construction, or a related field.
- Familiarity with the UK regulatory environment and standards for large-scale projects.
- Advanced certifications in project management, such as PMP or PRINCE2.
