About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Strategy Risk Manager to join our team at NatWest. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving our credit strategy forward and ensuring the effective management of credit risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain risk and decision support models to support credit risk services to clients.
  • Provide analytical insights and innovative solutions to achieve future strategic priorities.
  • Support the management of portfolio credit risks, including bad debt provisions, risk-weighted assets, and costs.
  • Ensure the NatWest personal credit risk portfolios continue to perform within risk limit frameworks.
  • Drive active and effective change management through the successful design, development, and delivery of key strategic initiatives.
  • Manage stakeholders across a diverse matrix structure.
  • Liaise and influence the franchise regarding ongoing credit customer management and projects.
  • Provide insight and challenge where appropriate, driving the automation agenda.
Requirements
  • Experience with coding languages and excellent analytical skills.
  • Good understanding of the banking industry, its risk management, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience of working with external clients, developing their understanding of credit risk strategies and decisioning systems.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to work as a team and with stakeholders.
  • Ability to explain technical subject matter to a non-technical audience.
  • Experience in supporting and coaching businesses in a consultative role, supporting business development conversations and working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders to balance objectives.
  • Excellent knowledge of the personal banking market place, the associated legal and regulatory requirements, ensuring credit initiatives, processes, and systems meet requirements.
