The Role: General Practitioner - Offender Health

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced General Practitioner to join our dynamic Offender Health team. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals within correctional facilities across Lincolnshire.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive clinical consultations, encompassing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with both acute care needs and long-term conditions.
  • Arrange necessary investigations and referrals in accordance with established national guidelines and best practices.
  • Maintain ongoing medication prescriptions, ensuring adherence to Safe Prescribing Guidelines.
  • Effectively manage and respond to pathology results and clinical correspondence.
  • Provide timely responses to clinical queries from primary care teams.
  • Deliver patient care that aligns with Nottinghamshire Healthcare's clinical guidelines and protocols.

Our Offender Health team is a highly skilled and motivated group of professionals dedicated to providing integrated healthcare services across eight prisons in the region. We offer a collaborative and supportive work environment where you can contribute your expertise and make a meaningful impact.

Your Qualifications:

  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
  • MRCGP OR MRCGP equivalent approved by the Royal College of General Practice
  • Full registration with the GMC with a valid license to practice at the time of appointment
  • Eligibility for inclusion on the GMC General Practitioner Register
