Senior Contracts & Procurement Lawyer Role

Sellick Partnership is proud to be working with an exceptional legal services team in the public sector. We are looking for a Senior Contracts & Procurement Lawyer to join the commercial legal team at Luton Borough Council to provide advice and representation to the Council in all areas of Contracts & Procurement law.

The successful candidate will have a brilliant opportunity to develop their specialism with the support of like-minded people and an experienced team around them.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive professional legal advice to various council departments on complex commercial matters, procurement, and bespoke commercial arrangements.
  • Manage a portfolio of cases, including acting as legal advisor to client organisations, drafting contracts, and leading on significant procurements.
  • Develop expertise in Contracts & Procurement law, with opportunities to work on high-impact cases and contribute to the growth of the team.
Requirements
  • Qualified Solicitor, barrister, or FCILEx with 6 years+ PQE.
  • Strong commercial background and experience in Contracts & Procurement law.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
