We are seeking a highly motivated, efficient, and diligent International Project Coordinator with a minimum of three years of relevant professional experience to join our dynamic team.

This is a full-time position, subject to a three-month probationary period. The role offers a competitive annual gross salary of approximately £35,000, with a pension contribution available upon successful completion of the probationary period.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must be residents in the UK and possess the necessary work authorization.

Role Objectives:

(a) To deliver efficient, professional, and high-caliber management for designated consultancy projects.

(b) To identify and cultivate new business opportunities for PAI's consultancy services.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Facilitating effective communication regarding project activities, work plans, and progress with PAI Directors, staff, locally engaged personnel, Project Team Leaders, consultants, donor agency representatives, and clients.
  • Overseeing logistical arrangements (such as travel, visas, accommodation, etc.) for selected consultancy projects.
  • Negotiating consultant fees and preparing contracts and related documentation.
  • Monitoring financial aspects of selected consultancy projects and preparing invoices.
  • Reviewing, editing, and formatting consultancy reports for distribution to project stakeholders.

Business Development

  • Conducting research on current development policies, proposed initiatives, and funding trends of major international development organizations.
  • Identifying new consultancy opportunities.
  • Preparing and submitting technical and financial proposals for consultancy projects.
  • Recruiting and selecting individual consultants from PAI's network and external sources.
  • Representing PAI at donor, consortium, and client meetings, and briefing PAI staff on outcomes.

The International Project Coordinator will report directly to PAI's Director.

Candidate Profile:

Required Experience:

  • A minimum of three years' experience in project management or administration for technical assistance projects funded by international development organizations.
  • Experience in preparing technical and financial proposals.
  • Experience in the selection and/or recruitment of consultants.
  • Proven track record in developing new business and marketing consultancy services.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in various software applications, such as Microsoft Office.

Desired Experience:

  • Experience responding to tender requests from international development organizations is advantageous.
  • Experience working with diverse cultures and backgrounds.
  • Experience in the public sector or related organizations.
  • Experience collaborating with or for donor agencies.

Educational Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree is required, with a preference for a Master's Degree in public administration, business administration, international development, or related fields.
  • Excellent spoken and written English proficiency.
  • High level of numeracy skills.
