Job Summary

Bouygues UK, a leading construction and property development company in the United Kingdom, is seeking a career-focused Finance professional to join its extensive Financial Management Accountancy team.

Job Purpose and Scope

As a Financial Management Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial position of departments/projects is clear and accurate by calculating, documenting, and maintaining the appropriate financial information and tools.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Producing finance reports and meeting deadlines
  • Preparing monthly financial management reports with analysis and performing monthly closure of department/project accounts
  • Assisting with the preparation of quarterly and annual budget models for departments/projects
  • Managing day-to-day tasks and monthly reporting timetables
  • Providing project management support to managers, including reporting, maintaining system tools, and budgets
  • Administering timesheet software and recharges
  • Managing invoice discrepancies
  • Following up and supporting procurement and sub-contractor processes, including training
  • Financial analysis reporting and other ad-hoc reporting as required
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in management accounting/finance
  • CIMA/ACCA part-qualified
  • Previous experience in management accounting
  • Knowledge of purchase ledger, VAT, and tax
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • IT skills, including the use of financial software/cost recording systems like SAP or similar
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
