Senior Financial Strategy Manager

This position is situated within the Commercial Finance division, part of the internal National Finance Office. The primary objective of this role is to assist business leaders in achieving sustainable and profitable growth. Establish robust, effective, and credible relationships with business leaders, aiding their operational and strategic decision-making through insightful financial analysis and analytical perspectives. Play a key role in decision-making processes, utilizing business partnering skills to both challenge and support, thereby enhancing operational performance.

As a Senior Financial Strategy Manager, you will be an integral part of a well-established team, taking a leading role in the development, creation, and review of the firm's internal management information, with the support of a team of Commercial Finance Assistants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver financial insights, challenge assumptions, and provide support to service line leadership and management teams.
  • Build and maintain essential relationships with service line leadership and management teams.
  • Convert financial data into analytical insights by collaborating with service line and local management.
  • Contribute to enhancing operational performance and fostering commercial acumen.
  • Monitor progress against budgets and forecasts.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process.
  • Take a prominent role within the Commercial Finance team, collaborating closely with colleagues.
  • Serve as a role model within the team, fostering an understanding of the firm's culture and strategic objectives.

Personal and Professional Attributes

  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified.
  • Experience in consultancy, business strategy, or professional services is preferred.
  • Demonstrated analytical capabilities and experience in performance evaluation.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Proficient in IT, particularly with MS Excel.
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and diplomatic.
