Active Recruitment is working in partnership with an Outstanding mainstream Secondary School in Finchley to seek proactive and enthusiastic Behaviour Mentors to join their dedicated team of staff. This is a highly reputable school with state-of-the-art facilities and teaching spaces. In this role, you will be working closely with learners between the age of 11-16 who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and often display challenging behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide regular feedback to SENCO and where relevant outside agencies about your student's difficulties and progress.
* Work 1:1 with learners who require targeted support.
* Identify barriers to learning and find ways to overcome them to engage your student.
* Be confident to manage challenging behaviour.
* Understand behaviour as a form of communication.
* Support the emotional and social development of students, reporting any concerns to the Tutor or Safeguarding Lead.
* Support staff with planning teaching and learning sessions, this will include preparing resources and setting up environment ready for sessions.
