We are seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join our dedicated team of staff at an Outstanding mainstream Secondary School in London. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with learners between the age of 11-16 who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and often display challenging behaviour.
Key Responsibilities- Provide regular feedback to the SENCO and outside agencies about student difficulties and progress.
- Work 1:1 with learners who require targeted support.
- Identify barriers to learning and find ways to overcome them to engage students.
- Be confident to manage challenging behaviour.
- Understand behaviour as a form of communication.
- Support the emotional and social development of students, reporting any concerns to the Tutor or Safeguarding Lead.
- Support staff with planning teaching and learning sessions, including preparing resources and setting up the environment ready for sessions.
- Health & Wellbeing support, discounts on travel and retail outlets from our partners.
- A dedicated consultant on hand for support.
- All of our staff are paid in line with the Agency Worker Regulations, meaning your pay will be equal to that of a permanent employee.
