Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Land Referencer to support our renewable energy projects at NetZero. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in identifying, assessing, and securing land for development purposes. This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders, conducting land surveys, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough research to identify potential land parcels suitable for renewable energy projects, considering environmental impact and zoning regulations.
  • Collaborate with project teams to assess land suitability, including environmental impact and zoning regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive land documentation and databases, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information.
  • Engage with landowners, local authorities, and community representatives to foster positive relationships and secure land leases or options.
  • Assist in conducting land surveys, environmental assessments, and feasibility studies, providing valuable insights to project teams.
  • Review and interpret land maps, property deeds, and other legal documents, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and guidelines.
  • Support regulatory permitting processes, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Provide regular updates to project teams on land acquisition progress and challenges, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Participate in community outreach initiatives to educate stakeholders on renewable energy benefits and NetZero's commitment to sustainability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geography, Land Use Planning, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in land referencing, land management, or a related role, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
