Sanctuary Supported Living is excited to announce an opportunity for a Support Care Specialist within our CQC Registered facility, dedicated to individuals with Learning and Physical Disabilities.

Key Responsibilities of the Support Care Specialist:

  • Providing exceptional, personalized care and support to encourage independence among our customers.
  • Assisting with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and hygiene.
  • Managing medication administration effectively.
  • Supporting customers with daily living activities including shopping, cleaning, and laundry.
  • Facilitating appointments and ensuring customers have access to necessary services.
  • Fostering a positive atmosphere to combat social isolation.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of care provided.
  • Implementing safe practices and conducting risk assessments.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • A compassionate approach to care, with experience in supporting individuals with physical or learning disabilities preferred.
  • A proactive and adaptable mindset, coupled with a positive attitude.
  • Strong organizational abilities, alongside functional literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Capability to respond swiftly to changing priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, or a willingness to pursue this qualification.
  • Excellent communication skills to build effective relationships with customers.
