Sanctuary Supported Living is pleased to announce openings for Support Care Specialists within our CQC Registered Learning and Physical Disabilities facility.

Your role will be impactful, whether you are delivering direct support or working behind the scenes to assist our dedicated teams. Key Responsibilities of the Support Care Specialist:

  • Providing exceptional personalized care and support, encouraging clients to maintain their independence through active engagement.
  • Assisting clients with personal hygiene, including washing, dressing, and bathing.
  • Managing medication administration for clients.
  • Supporting clients with daily tasks such as shopping, cleaning, and laundry.
  • Facilitating appointments and transportation for clients, including visits to healthcare providers.
  • Fostering a positive community atmosphere to combat social isolation.
  • Maintaining accurate and current records of client interactions and care.
  • Implementing safe practices and conducting risk assessments.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • A compassionate approach to care, with experience in supporting individuals with physical or learning disabilities preferred.
  • A proactive and adaptable mindset, demonstrating a strong willingness to assist.
  • Excellent organizational abilities, along with basic literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Capability to respond effectively to shifting priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, or a commitment to obtain this qualification.
  • Strong communication skills to build meaningful relationships with clients.
