NES Fircroft is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in a commercial management role. As a Quantity Surveyor - Commercial Management Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert analysis and advice on commercial management, planning, and dispute resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of claims for loss and expense, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
- Assist in the preparation of adjudication documentation, maintaining a thorough understanding of contract law and dispute resolution procedures.
- Draft comprehensive written reports, outlining process, conclusions, and recommendations to support business decisions.
- Operate Standard Forms of Contract (JCT / NEC / FIDIC) with expertise, ensuring compliance and best practices.
- Provide strategic advice at all stages of the construction life cycle, driving business growth and development.
- Contribute actively to business development initiatives, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
Requirements
- Hold MRICS qualification or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years post-degree qualification experience.
- Possess a working knowledge of dispute resolution procedures and contract law principles.
- Have experience working on major construction and engineering projects, with a focus on commercial management and dispute resolution.
- Be able to prepare, assess, and interrogate construction costs with accuracy and efficiency.
- Be interested in pursuing a Construction Law MSc or Post Graduate Diploma (or equivalent) to further develop your skills and expertise.
