About the Role

We are seeking a talented Junior / Graduate Heating & Renewables System Designer to join our team at the McInnes Group based in Inverness. As a key member of our design team, you will play a crucial role in the design of domestic heating and renewable energy systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist in the design of domestic and small commercial heating and renewable energy systems
  2. Collaborate with senior designers and engineers on project specifications and system design
  3. Develop a strong understanding of renewable technology and its application in both residential and small commercial settings
  4. Participate in training and development programs to enhance your technical knowledge and skills
  5. Ensure that designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices
  6. Support project delivery teams in ensuring the successful implementation of system designs
  7. Work closely with clients and team members to meet project objectives and deadlines
Requirements
  1. A strong interest in renewable energy and heating systems
  2. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  3. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  5. Willingness to learn and develop new skills in a fast-evolving industry
  6. Basic understanding of heating and renewable systems is a plus but not essential
  7. Familiarity with renewable energy systems, such as heat pumps, solar PV and battery storage
  8. Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations
