Senior Assurance Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Assurance Officer to join our team at Babcock International Group. As a key member of our Assurance team, you will play a critical role in leading the planning and effective delivery of independent assurance activities, including audits, topic reviews, and studies.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Independent Assurance Activities: Develop and implement effective assurance strategies to ensure the integrity and reliability of our business processes and systems.
- Support Senior Leadership: Provide expert advice and guidance to senior leaders on assurance-related matters, ensuring that they have confidence in the adequacy of our assurance processes.
- Identify and Address Non-Conformities: Identify areas for improvement and work with the business to address non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
- Support External Assurance Activities: Collaborate with external assurance providers, such as certification bodies and regulatory agencies, to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Provide Coaching and Support: Offer guidance and support to colleagues on assurance-related matters, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Extensive Experience in Business Assurance Management: Proven track record of leading business assurance activities, including audits, topic reviews, and studies.
- Strong Communication and Influencing Skills: Ability to present complex assurance information to senior leaders and stakeholders, influencing their decisions and actions.
- Relevant Industry Experience: Recent experience working in a similar assurance role, preferably in a nuclear or energy-related industry.
