Maintenance Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Stirling Warrington. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our heavy plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Carry out repairs and replacements of faulty equipment, using your expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding.
  • Work closely with our operations team to identify and address maintenance needs, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 or time-served apprenticeship in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in mechanical maintenance in an industrial environment.
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
