Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Accounts Supervisor to manage our Accounts team and oversee financial operations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial management, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Operations Management
    • Manage the Accounts team, including 3 Accounts assistants
    • Oversee treasury management, including payment approvals and bank reconciliations
    • Ensure accurate and timely monthly payroll processing, including summarizing, checking, and paying payroll, as well as posting journals and paying CSA/other deductions of earnings
    • Process weekly timesheets and allocate costs to correct projects
    • Maintain and manage the Fixed Asset register
    • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations
    • Create and manage projects within Sage 200, ensuring correct contract values and contract budgets
    • Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns for 3 companies
    • Manage monthly CIS returns and issue monthly subcontractor statements
    • Prepare National Statistic returns
  • Leadership and Communication
    • Lead and motivate the Accounts team to achieve financial goals and objectives
    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
    • Communicate financial information and results to senior management and other stakeholders
  • Financial Compliance and Regulation
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and laws
    • Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and laws
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Strong background in financial management, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
    • Experience with financial systems and software, including Sage 200
